About the role

You will sit in the Application & Product Engineering practice, working with architects, quality engineers and platform teams on client estates that have to keep changing without freezing.

What you’ll do

Design, build and ship application features and services against agreed outcomes
Modernize legacy components with APIs, services and cloud-ready patterns
Work in named squads with client ways of working and release cadence
Raise and reduce technical debt as part of delivery, not as a side project
Partner with Quality Engineering and DevOps so changes are testable and releasable

What you’ll bring

Strong experience delivering production software in Java, .NET, Node.js or equivalent
Comfort with cloud platforms, APIs, databases and CI-friendly workflows
Experience in enterprise or product delivery with shared ownership of outcomes
Clear written and spoken communication with client and internal teams

Nice to have

Modernization or re-platforming experience
Exposure to microservices, event-driven systems or domain-driven design
Prior work alongside dedicated quality or platform engineering teams
